Unishippers Honors Holland as "2013 Regional LTL Carrier Partner of the Year"

Unishippers Global Logistics, LCC presented Holland with the 2013 Regional LTL Carrier Partner of the Year award for outstanding regional service and partnership excellence during its Annual Convention on Jan. 16, 2014 in Rancho Bernardo, CA.

Carriers were ranked based on service quality and performance, loss and damage events, customer service, claims resolution and overall commitment to partnership.

"The Holland team appreciates this honor," said Scott Ware, president of Holland. "Working with Unishippers, we do what we do best--provide quality next-day on-time service. Every shipment is a priority with Holland."

Founded in 1987, Unishippers is one of the largest resellers of complete shipping services in the United States. In 2013, our ten "I Am Holland" winners represented some of the very best of Team Holland, with their hard work and dedication to our Core Values:

Over the past year, in our issues of Holland Headlines we've honored our 2013 winners for their commitment.

Now, wrapping up last year's list of winners, we would like to recognize two Holland service heroes: Ralph Whitler and Rick Dalson.

Ralph Whitler, professional city driver operating out of our Evansville, IN service center is widely recognized for going the extra mile. Fellow colleague Chris Moore said, "Ralph sets the bar higher and higher each and every day with hard work and customer commitment. It can definitely be a challenge to keep up."

In addition to his tireless work ethic, Ralph is recognized as someone who is always at the ready to assist both customers and co-workers alike. "Ralph always goes the extra mile to make sure the customer is taken care of," said Geoff Goodwin. "He is always pleasant to work with and always ready to lend a hand in any situation."

Rick Dalson

Central Dispatch professional based in Holland, MI, Rick Dalson, recently retired and is sorely missed. Rick was lauded for his willingness to help out. When Rick joined Holland March 2006 he stood out right away as an all-star employee with his upbeat personality and readiness to go above and beyond.

"Rick always had a positive attitude," said Mike Brown, Linehaul Operations Manager in Holland, MI. "He came in half an hour early for his 12-hour shift, and did an excellent job covering loads during the weekend. He could set any board in Central Dispatch on any shift."

Knowledgeable, skilled, and never satisfied with anything less than superlative service--Ralph and Rick represent the thousands of people that make Holland the regional leader in next-day LTL shipping.
